A HELPING HAND WHEN A LOVED ONE DIES

The death of a loved one is, to say the least, emotionally trying for family and friends. It can be a virtual roller coaster ride. Unfortunately, before the grief subsides, there are a lot of matters to tackle. Generally, probate will be required when someone dies without a Will (“intestate”) and when they die with only a Will (“testate”). Probate is the legal process by which a person’s assets are collected, debts, taxes, and other administrative costs are handled, and assets distributed. Like any court process, this can be complicated. At RLG, we assist the Personal Representative through the probate process as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
