We are excited to announce that Attorney Michael T. Smith has joined the team at Rehberg Law Group, PLLC! Michael is an attorney who truly cares about helping people in his community with their estate planning needs, and we could not be happier to have him on board.
Michael focuses on estate planning, probate, and helping clients form businesses (like corporations and LLCs). He enjoys guiding individuals and families in planning for their future—whether they are reviewing or updating an existing estate plan or starting one for the very first time. For Michael, estate planning is more than just paperwork; it is about understanding what matters most to his clients—whether it is their loved ones, the people they want to entrust with important responsibilities, or the people causes they want to support.
In addition to his estate planning work, Michael is passionate about helping families navigate the probate process after losing a loved one. He is here to make those tough times a little easier by guiding families through the process of transferring assets, handling debts, and making sure everything is taken care of according to the law.
Michael has always been actively involved in his community, serving as a Volunteer Den Leader and Cubmaster for the Boy Scouts of America. He has also supported local swim teams, including the Fife Area Swim Team (2018-present) and the Ohana Swim Team (2015-2018). His commitment to leadership extends to his time on the Board of Directors for the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce (2010-2016), as well as his graduation from the Leadership Program run by the Chamber and Pacific Lutheran University in 2010. Additionally, he contributed to the Tacoma Opera as a Board Member and Treasurer from 2007 to 2012 and has supported the Commencement Bay Rowing Club since 2002. These roles reflect his dedication to fostering community growth and supporting local organizations.
